When we photograph the dogs ready for adoption at the Humane Society I bring a portable studio set up with me and set it up in a corner of the large conference/teaching/event space at the facility. The set up looks like this. Two speed lights in reflector umbrellas in front and one as a backlight. A black background and other props. I shoot tethered to my laptop (which you can almost see in the bottom right of the photo) so I can see the photos large on the computer screen rather than the back of the camera.
